Municipal Parking @ Capacity

Pop-Up Church Shuttle Tickets Unavailable

Bike Valet Station
Bike valet station will be located at 10th Street at the Beach and at the Convention Center.
Convention Center Parking
There will be no parking for the festival at the Convention Center. It is designated as Uber/Lyft drop-off/pick-up, regional shuttle stop and trolley shuttle stop.
Residential Parking Permit
Residential Parking Permit 24-hour enforcement will be in effect throughout the Resort neighborhoods. Employees with RPP passes may park in these areas.
Shadowlawn Neighborhood
No through traffic posted on south side of Norfolk Avenue for Shadowlawn neighborhood

Current Road Closures
The following roads will be closed or have restricted access:
- 19th St. -- No access from Birtneck Road. Vehicle traffic will be restricted to one lane eastbound only from Cypress to Arctic; the rest for pedestrians. Police will maintain access for 19th St. residents.
- Atlantic Ave. closed from 5th St. south (Thursday-Sunday)
- Atlantic Ave from 5th to 10th -- credentials/hotels reservations/employees only
- Atlantic Ave. from 10th St northward -- Police may restrict traffic at times based on conditions.
- Parks Avenue - Access provided from 21st Street to Zoë's.
- Winston Salem Ave. closed from Pacific westbound. Pacific Avenue northbound left turn lane closed at Winston Salem Ave.
- To access Winston Salem corridor and Shadowlawn, use 9th Street/Norfolk Ave. Follow signs
- General Booth Blvd, between Croatan Rd - 5th St. (Northbound #2 lane only will be dedicated for Event Shuttle/priority vehicle/emergency vehicle use) and closed to passenger vehicles Friday April 26, 10:00am - Monday, April 29, 4:00am (restriction/VBPD enforcement lifted between 4:00am - 9:00am daily)
- Streets throughout the oceanfront area may be restricted during peak times and when conditions dictate
- When diversions become necessary due to congestion, the routes away from the oceanfront will be westbound at 9th, 17th and 22nd
Oceanfront Library
The Oceanfront Library will be closed April 26th - 28th and re-open on Monday the 29th of April.

No Parking at the Convention Center
Just a friendly reminder that there will be no parking for the Something in the Water festival at the Virginia Beach Convention Center (VBCC). However, the VBCC is designated as a Uber/Lyft drop-off/pick-up, regional shuttle stop, and trolley shuttle stop. 4/27/19 - 3:53 p.m.

Is there a fee to park and ride the shuttle?
4/25 update - the Festival has sold out of the shuttle parking tickets (from the amphitheater). For other options, visit https://www.somethinginthewater.com/getting-here
Parking is free. You can advance purchase a pass good for the whole weekend for just $5. On show days, the price will be $20, also good for all three days. There will be security and porta-johns.

Where can I drop someone off who is going to the festival?
- There will be a dedicated RIDESHARE DROP OFF/PICK UP AREA at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. This will be your best option for speedy DROP OFF and PICK UP (**least traffic, least stress, but it’s a little bit of a walk from the Beach venue**)
- Drop off at the SITW Park + Ride at the Amphitheater or take one of the regional shuttles if you're coming in from a neighboring community. You may bring your bike with you.

Will people be able to go in the water?
While going into the water is not prohibited, there are no lifeguard services.

Can I take my boat and anchor off-shore to enjoy the concerts?
No, marine patrol will be monitoring the area so as to not loiter close to the venue near the beach.

- Resort street sweeping completed at 0930.
- Completed beach event area tractor blading at 1000.
- Set up trash barrels at 17th and 31st parks by 1000.
- Resort Beach grooming 10th–40th streets finished at 1000 .
- Beach trash collection completed at 1030.
- Day shift Boardwalk and Atlantic Avenue packer truck waste collection done by 1100.
- Setting up additional trash barrels along Atlantic Avenue and Boardwalk by 1200.

I work at the oceanfront. What is the best way for me to get there over this weekend?
Event organizers have been working with businesses and residents near the festival footprint to provide access to the area. Depending on where you work or live, the festival is providing credentials to enable access to otherwise restricted areas of Atlantic Ave. Below are the plans for each zone and specific guidance for employees who need to get to work.
